Founders National Police Foundation Launches With $2 Million Commitment to Deliver Rapid Emergency Relief to Law Enforcement Families
New nonprofit initiative will focus on providing financial assistance within 48 to 72 hours following catastrophic events, beginning in Florida, Massachusetts and New York.
September, 26, 2026, FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., The Founders National Police Foundation, a new 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting law enforcement officers and their families during times of catastrophic need, is preparing to launch with $2 million in initial funding provided through Founders Shooting Club and the FLEOA Foundation.
The Foundation is being established around a simple but urgent mission: when tragedy strikes a law enforcement family, meaningful financial assistance should not take weeks to arrive.
Whether an officer suffers a serious line-of-duty injury, faces a devastating illness, or a family experiences an unexpected tragedy, the first days following a catastrophic event can be among the most difficult. While traditional benefits, insurance, departmental assistance and other support programs can provide important resources, those systems often require applications, documentation, reviews and processing time. Meanwhile, families can find themselves confronting immediate financial and personal challenges while navigating an already overwhelming situation.
The Founders National Police Foundation was created to help close that gap.

Built around a target response window of just 48 to 72 hours, the Foundation will work with trusted law enforcement partners to identify qualifying needs, efficiently verify circumstances and provide rapid emergency financial relief directly to officers and their families. The goal is not to replace existing benefits or assistance programs, but to provide an immediate bridge during the critical period before those longer-term resources become available.
The initiative represents the culmination of more than two years of planning, collaboration and relationship-building led by Founders Shooting Club CEO Victor Grillo and FLEOA Foundation Executive Director John Bottone. Together, the organizations have worked to develop a model that combines the resources necessary to respond quickly with the relationships and infrastructure needed to identify families facing genuine emergencies.
“Founders Shooting Club was created to be much more than a gun range,” said Grillo. “It’s a community built around safety, hospitality, and genuine support for the people who protect ours. This Foundation is everything we stand for, put into action.”
With $2 million committed at launch, the Foundation is designed to begin its work with resources already positioned to respond. Rather than launching with an aspiration to eventually raise the funds necessary to fulfill its mission, the Founders National Police Foundation intends to begin with the financial foundation needed to make an immediate impact.
The Foundation will initially focus its efforts in Florida, Massachusetts and New York, three states where Founders and its partners have established strong community and law enforcement relationships. As the organization grows, its long-term vision is national in scope, expanding its network of partners, supporters and resources to reach law enforcement families throughout the country.
For Founders, the establishment of the Foundation is a natural extension of a longstanding commitment to the law enforcement community. Through its clubs, partnerships, events and relationships with local departments and officers, Founders has sought to build a community centered not only on safety and responsible firearms ownership, but also on supporting the men and women who serve and protect their communities.
The Founders National Police Foundation transforms that commitment into a formal organization with a defined mission, dedicated funding and the ability to respond when support is needed most.
At the heart of that mission is the belief that the first response to those who spend their careers responding for others should be equally immediate.
First Response, Faster.
Additional details regarding the Founders National Police Foundation, including its official launch, leadership, eligibility criteria, assistance process, partnerships, fundraising initiatives and opportunities to support the organization, will be announced in the coming months.
